Al-Lail is this year's keynote speaker who will be kicking off ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ State's International Education Week. Possible Power Interruptions on ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ Campus on Veterans Day Holiday
The ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ Campus may experience power interruptions due to turbine testing on Friday, Nov. 11. ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ State generates a large portion of the power used on the ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ Campus. The university will be testing the turbines to check on the reliability and operation of control and distribution systems. This exercise tests the turbines’ ability to power the ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ Campus without being connected to the Ohio Edison power grid. Dear Members of the ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ State Community: As Northeast Ohio continues to enjoy a beautiful fall season, we all know that winter will soon arrive. One of our responsibilities as senior vice presidents of the university is recommending cancellations and closures due to severe weather. While the safety of our people is our priority, in general, the university does not close or cancel classes because of cold weather, winter ice and/or snow.
