Sixteen years later, ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ State alumna Emilia Sykes, a native of Akron, Ohio, was elected to represent the same district, making her the first Black ÌÇÐÄÆƽâ°æ State alum to serve in the House of Representatives.
